Never Do Housework

This type of headline always draws attention.
It’s a bit like: “WIN $10,000,000” “FREE!”

You know it’s a TRICK.

But it is possible to do housework and all sorts of nasty tasks, without realizing.

This is a scheme for all those who NEVER LIFT A FINGER.

They let everyone else clean-up, vacuum, wash and throw out the garbage.

The time has come for you to: “lift-a-finger” and “pull-your-weight.”

The art of doing the most, with the least effort, is called ORGANISATION.

Organisation is cleaning-up as you go.

It starts by taking dishes back to the kitchen, each time you want more food.

Put the dishes in the dishwasher, and if it is full, TURN IT ON.

When you prepare food, put the utensils in the dishwasher.

If you go for a run in the morning, take 2 bags of rubbish to the bin as you leave.

Vacuuming is done in 3 stages.
Stage 1: get the vacuum out.
Stage 2: vacuum for 5 minutes and STOP.
Stage 3: put the vacuum away.

It may take 3 days to vacuum a room, but the duration of each effort will be so short your body will not register the repulsion.

The same with washing. Put dirty clothes in a basket and when it is full, sort it into piles of whites, colours and hand-washing. This will take 30 seconds.

Load the washing machine - 1 minute.

Load the tumble dryer from the washing machine - 1 minute.

Hang the towels on a clothes-horse to save electricity. Towels should be used ONLY ONCE and should be rough to get rid of the dead skin. This will liven-up the skin on your face and encourage new skin as well as keep black-heads away and reduce pimples (acne) and enlarged pores.

Cleaning the toilet is done by using the brush for 20 seconds then getting into the shower to get rid of the smell of cleaning.

The shower can be cleaned by hosing down the walls, cleaning with a sponge for 30 seconds while you are undressed and the having a shower to get rid of the smell.

The secret of NOT DOING HOUSEWORK is to clean-up as you go and do all the nasty jobs in very short bursts.

You can extend this concept to gardening, mowing the lawn, cooking or even painting.

No-one likes painting, but if you look on the clever-side, you can paint a surface for $1.00 to produce a result that will look cleaner than 20 minutes of scrubbing.

Step 1: get out the tools for preparing the surface.
Step 2: prepare the surface for 5 minutes and STOP.
Step 2A: keep preparing the surface for 5 minutes.
Step 3: Paint
Step 4: Put everything away.

Cooking is a completely different concept.
Buying take-away food is very expensive and canned food is rubbish.
Frozen food is good value if you buy such things as frozen baby peas, dim sims, fish fillets and maybe chips.
The simplest way to make a healthy meal is to put everything from the fridge into a very large saucepan and make a soup. Cut everything small and boil for 10 minutes.
This will clean-out the fridge and allow you to never store food in the fridge again.
This soup will produce 6 days of meals at less than $3.00 per serve and can be re-heated in the microwave oven.
Microwave heating is the safest way to heat as it kills all bacteria.
To make soup in the future, add carrots, onions, sweet potato, 3 cans of crushed tomatoes, 2kgm chicken wings, cup of frozen peas to a large saucepan and boil for 15 minutes. Add peas and sweet potato for 3 minutes. Cut everything small. Add spices (no salt) such as curry or chilly or perri perri and you have 6 days of meals in 30 minutes. Add chopped mushrooms at the last minute.
Debone the chicken before ladling into 6 - 8 large soup bowls and cover in the fridge with clear-wrap.
You will never look at take-away or canned food again.

The worst part about all the chores above is thinking about it.

Be like Tom Sawyer (In the adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain) and treat whitewashing the fence as an excitement and charge all the neighborhood kids to carry out the task.

Treat every day as a new day and plan to carry out 5 things.
Each chore might take only 5 minutes, but you will be achieving two things:
Firstly, the situation and conditions will not be worsening and
secondly, everything will eventually be done.
